Signs of Summertime Splendor
One of Appleton's best summer activities is the Saturday morning Downtown Appleton Farmer's Market. The highest quality of local organic fruits and vegetables, fresh bouquets of flowers, and now artists at work! The Trout Museum of Art invites plein air artists to capture the energy of the Appleton Farmer's Market every Saturday morning; June-September 2012 from 8AM to NOON. A small display board by the Trout Museum's front entrance will list a general location of participating artists for that week. Feel free to watch, chat and enjoy the act of plein air painting! If you are interested in purchasing a painting you see, artists will be eligible to display up to two of their creations from the market at an Octoberfest booth this September. For further information please contact the artist or the Trout Museum of Art.
